Dr. DeVaughan is a big supporter of the Special Olympics of Oklahoma, and has volunteered at the regional and state games for the past 20 years. Dr. Tyler’s older brother has Down Syndrome, and was a competitor in the games growing up. Dr. DeVaughan and his father have helped run the standing long jump at the state games for years, and the comradery, sportsmanship, and support they have been blessed to be a part of have helped shape who he is as a provider.
Dr. DeVaughan, his wife Melanie, who is a dental hygienist, their daughter Adalyn and son Lawson love having the opportunity to serve their community in their home state of Oklahoma. They enjoy traveling, spending time with their dogs — Gibson and Gus Gus — and watching as much Oklahoma Sooner football as they can! Boomer! Dr. DeVaughan is also an avid guitar player and the combination of his hand skills with attention to detail have only helped make him a better orthodontist. You may see him strumming in the clinic from time to time!
Dr. DeVaughan is a board-certified orthodontist. Fewer than half of all orthodontists are board certified, and Dr. DeVaughan’s commitment to his patients led him to strive for this distinction to be among the top doctors in the country. His dedication to learning, and constant effort to further develop his own skills, demonstrate how passionate he is about providing high-quality care through the innovative blend of technology and creative ideas. Orthodontics is very artistic and we achieve our signature smiles through the careful application of well-thought-out processes and artistic touches.
